Adjaruli khachapuri is comfort food at its finest. The combination of freshly baked bread, molten cheese, butter and a runny egg makes for a rich, indulgent dish that deserves a drink with enough freshness to keep every bite feeling as good as the first.

Crisp lagers are a natural match, their clean finish cutting through the richness without getting in the way of the cheese. Bright, mineral white wines work beautifully too, while saisons and dry sparkling wines add plenty of refreshment. If you're after something a little bolder, a light, juicy red served slightly chilled can be surprisingly good.
